Step by Step description:
Step 1: A light linear pencil drawing executed on paper.
Step 2: The paper is wetted on both sides, placed on a plastic board. The damp surface is covered with initial strokes of water in the area of the background, using pure rainbow colours. This is the watercolour splashing technique resembling a pool.
Step 3: The water background is created with a large brush, using thick strokes, leaving white lines of light in between.
Step 4: The girl's body is drawn on the dried paper. Parts of the body submerged in water are painted by adding shades of cold water colours.
Step 5: The swimsuit is painted softly on damp paper, while the hair is painted on dry paper to emphasize their shiny texture.
Step 6: The painting is completed by detailing the hair and applying connecting strokes between the girl's figure and the pool water. Small accents are also added throughout the entire composition.
